It depends on the vehicle's model and the charging type (DC or AC).
For DC charging or fast charging, there are two types of plugs:
- CCS Combo, the most common in electric vehicles. It supports power ratings of up to 400kW. This is what we offer at Cepsa's charge points as they are used for ultra-fast charging at our stations.
- CHAdeMO, less common, usually in Japanese-sourced vehicles. It is used for a maximum load of up to 100kW.
For charging on AC or semi-fast and slow, the plugs are:
- Type 1, which can handle maximum power of 7.4kW.
- Type 2 or Mennekes, which is used for power of up to 22kW in homes and up to 43kW in public network charge points.
