Trackless tack coats

These are improved tack coat emulsions that guarantee the consistent performance of the asphalt mix package throughout the service life of the pavement. In thermoadherent emulsions, penetration bitumens or bitumens modified with polymers are used. These low penetration (hard) bitumens have good adherence to the supporting layer but minimum adherence to site traffic, thus guaranteeing an effective and uniform distribution of residual binder on the spray-coated surface.

The emulsions recommended for this application comply with the specifications of the General Technical Specifications for Road Works and Bridges (PG-3) and those contained in the UNE-EN 13808 standard.
