PARAFFINS
These paraffins have a structure consisting of large and well-formed crystals which produce excellent insulating properties, crystallinity, stiffness and a narrow fusion range. Cepsa sells food and cosmetic grade hydrogenated paraffins under the Cepsa PARASURTM. After the hydrogenation process, all odors and substances harmful to humans or animals are removed, obtaining a pure, white paraffin. The paraffins treated with this procedure are suitable for food, in contact with food, and in food products, forming a part of them. They are also used in the manufacture of candles, waterproof paper, adhesives and hundreds of other applications.
